This section applies when you submit a request for access to simpleschematic.
What we collect
When you submit an access request, we collect only your email address. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify you are a real person — this does not collect personal data about you.
How we use it
We use your email address solely to:
- Process your access request
- Send you login details when your access is approved
- Communicate important service updates
How long we keep it
We retain your email address only for as long as necessary to process your request. If you withdraw your request or are not granted access, we will delete your email address.
2. When You Use the Service
This section applies once you have created an account and are using simpleschematic.
What we collect
When you use simpleschematic, we collect and store:
- Account information — your name, email address, and profile image
- Your content — schematics, projects, and any data you create within the service
- Organisation and team data — team names, membership, and invitations
- Session data — IP address and browser information to keep your account secure
- Authentication data — if you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we store the connection to your account
- User preferences — saved presets and settings
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Provide and maintain the service
- Store and display your schematics and projects
- Manage your account, team memberships, and permissions
- Process payments via Paddle (our merchant of record)
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Communicate service updates and important account information
Cookies
We use essential cookies only for authentication — keeping you logged in and maintaining your session. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as our merchant of record. We do not store your payment card details. Paddle collects and processes payment information under their own privacy policy.
Public sharing
You can share projects via public links. Shared projects are viewable by anyone with the link in read-only mode. You can disable sharing at any time.
Account deletion
If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data (profile, sessions, preferences, and authentication records). Projects and schematics you contributed to within a team will remain, but your identity will be replaced with "Deleted User."
3. General
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard measures. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Paddle — for payment processing
- Cloudflare — for bot protection (Turnstile) and hosting
- As required by law — if compelled by legal process
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data at any time
- Withdraw your access request or cancel your account
- Object to our processing of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
